The design process in the Argentinian government
Glenda Ross, Ailén Cabaleiro, Alejandra Molina
We carried out ten interviews during 2019 and 2020, then published in Medium and Instagram, aimed at listening to the experiences of different professionals (not only designers) when incorporating design methodologies into their work with governments and/or non-profit organizations. Our contribution is to narrate this process, from the elaboration of the interviews to their publication. We want to review them all and bring up their contextual particulars, and the professional view expressed in each interview in terms of approaching design from within projects that address social issues. We also want to stress how relevant design is when it comes to developing public policy, adding to the possibility of synergy between our discipline and governments.
