In 2019, the Latin American interaction design community decided that Costa Rica would host the next ILA.
2020 changed the world, and today we enthusiastically embrace the challenge of designing the first virtual ILA.
Costa Rica's strength is not in its size, nor its territory, or its population. It is in its ability to inspire. Our country inspires peace, environmental protection, and happiness. With 6% of the world's biodiversity, it inspires design. And it is in that spirit that we are creating a virtual event like no other. We’ve included sensory experiences that will make you feel Costa Rica, as well as spaces to network and connect with colleagues. This virtual ILA will embody the festive spirit of the events that preceded it.
Today more than ever, we are betting on Latin America. That is why this year, 100% of our speakers will be from LATAM. So join us in November in an event that will showcase the breadth and depth of the Latin American UX.
PROGRAM: ILA21 WEEK
Our community's response to our #OpenCall surpassed all our expectations. After a strenuous curation process of several phases, we were able to welcome a group of speakers that is diverse, energetic and has already given so much — and will continue to so in the future — to Latin American design.
This program is structured in morning and afternoon blocks, spaced by spaces of rest, socialization and discovery. All the talks will be presented from a single stage, regardless of the talk's duration or the professional trajectory of the speakers.
