Remote usability validations with deaf people: learning experiences in the middle of the pandemic
Willian Grillo
Carrying out a validation with a remote user is an increasingly common practice, even more so during this Covid-19 pandemic. Yet, how the ideal environment and the session dynamic should be configured when it comes to validating with deaf people? We will show how we validated remotely a solution intended for deaf people, from the very first contacts with the user at the immersive phase, through planification, and to the performance of validation. Lastly, we will show how we overcame the challenges found along in the process and the lessons we learnt from all this.
