Voice User Interface: designing interactions from voice

The potential of voice technology is huge. It can positively transform a wide range of industries and impact on people's customer journey, from enabling voice searches and making tasks easier, to offering interactive content. Although it is still today an emerging technology, the huge paradigm change can already be seen now, in terms of how users interact with smart devices. In this talk we will briefly explore the current state of this technology, its potential and areas of opportunity, as well as some recommendations on how to create our own first conversational experiences with voice technology.

Eleazar Martínez is currently Senior Conversation Designer at Yalo. HE worked in advertising for more than ten years, to later focus on the creative direction of innovation projects for emerging technologies. In 2019 he was certified as Conversational UX Designer by the Conversation Design Institute, specializing in conversational platforms such as chatbots and voice assistants such as Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. He has created conversational experiences for national and global brands. He was part of the NATIVO team that in 2019 obtained first place in the national phase of the Alexa Cup (Amazon Alexa's global conversation experiences tournament) and second place in the regional phase (against agencies representing the United States and Canada). He studied Design Thinking, Business Design, User Experience and Design Research. His purpose is creating a more humane world through an imaginative balance between culture, technology and design.
