The Constant Invention of Latin American Design

Luis Arnal, Claudia Gutiérrez

Time to look back, with a certain nostalgia but also with a critical look. Over the years, the design that we consider "ours" has changed, demanding different qualities and rigor both from what is designed and from those who design. With various points of reference, we will reflect on how we have valued autochthonous designs, how we have hybridized learnings from other places, and how we continue to create educational institutions (from academies to online courses) to do what we are dealing with today, with excellence.
