PiX interaction patterns: an approachable codesign tool for digital services

This workshop will introduce a PiX codesign tool, interaction patterns. PiX was created in Latin America with the purpose of providing a common and approachable visual language for multidisciplinary teams, able to bring in users and other relevant parties of a codesign process.

I am a Graphic Designer from PUCV with a Master's degree in Interaction Design from CMU, USA. I have more than twenty years of teaching and professional experience in the field of UX Design, user research and digital project management. Currently, together with Katherine I am part of the research cell on Accessibility and Inclusion of our University where, jointly with other disciplines, we develop inclusive research with people with intellectual disabilities, so as to promote independent living, care and self-determination by means of universal design projects. I am also the director of the Master's program in Architecture and Design at our school, where I participate in the Form, Culture and Technology research area.

ContactI am a Graphic Designer from PUCV, and MA in Information Design from the University of Reading, UK. I currently pursue a Doctorate in Architecture and Urbanism at the University of Bío-Bío, in Chile. I have more than ten years of professional experience designing products and services in multidisciplinary teams, combining different strategies, research methods and observation for innovation in leading national companies. I am a permanent undergraduate and postgraduate professor at the PUCV School of Architecture and Design, where I participate in subjects in the line of interaction and service design, where I do research in the study area of Form, Culture and Technology. I am the founder and local co-leader of the local chapter of the World Interaction Design Association, IxDA Viña del Mar.
